After our October G2G turned out unexpectedly successful, we knew that the next G2G would be a sure hit and made sure we would make this the best G2G yet so far.Going through the planning procedure was pretty hectic.Starting with suggestions from long ride to movie watching, we finally ended up with a Kathmandu Valley merobike.com promotion ride concluding with the first of its kind Stunt Show. The favourable day was decided as the 24th of November,2007 and we knew this time a lot of the people whom we call "BIKERS" would show up.
Now 24th November is already the past and we just can't stop commenting on the G2G KATHMANDU + STUNTS SHOW.Here's goes the narration for people who missed it and for the bikers present who want to reminiscise those unforgettable moments. As decided we were supposed to meet up and gather at 8:00 am early in the morning at Basnatapur.Yes, it was mentioned 8:00 am sharp. But showcasing the usual nepali-pana most of the guys including myself except for the punctual ones arrived at 9:00am - 9:30am.Maybe we should improve on our timings the next G2G onwards.Everybody was there by 10:00 am........People present were our members, guests,Biker Boyz,KTM Troperz,Soaltee United Riders and Brotherhood Bikerz. Not to forget the interesting entry by Biker Boyz and Soaltee United Riders.Another interesting stuff was the common shirt and scarf donned by Biker Boyz and the common jacket by Soaltee United Riders. So before I start off, a special thanks to everybody who made this event worth it.
The surprise for the day was the merobike.com stickers which we got printed from Royal Grapphix just a day before. So after distributing the stickers and after all the lucky ones managed to get that little piece of limited merobike.com asset on their bikes we set out on our decided promotional Kathmandu Valley ride on 10:30 am.Looking at the 57 present bikes, I thought it wouldn't be possible to control the mass and maintain the formational ride rule.So the set out from Basantpur started off randomly and surprisingly somehow from Tudhikhel everybody was in formation. We maintained a one-to-one formation at narrow lanes and two-by-two formation at a bit wide roads.Everybody was worried about the cops interferring. But as far as I remember, even the cops couldn't do anything much looking at the huge mass but smile and give way.Even the eyes looking at us on the roads were unlimited wondering what we were all up to.Overall I felt like I was included in the King's cavalcade,as all people could do was either follow us or give way !!!!!!

We rode through all the decided roads and without any problem and much fun with an average speed of 40-50 km/ph reached the stunting ground behind the airport.Rider Ale from Biker Boyz gave the kick start to the stunt show by showcasing a much appreciated high-speed kinda long distance drift. Then came Rider DIG from Biker Boyz giving out a standing smoking circle burn out followed by his innumerable wheelies, stoppies and burn outs.Even I tried my hands on the just learned stoppie, but unfortunately made a fool of myself unable to get the rear tyres very much high.By then most of our stunters got heated up and came out showcasing their stunts.Smookie, our usual stunter gave out his always awesome various stunts in various bikes and Kevin performed his trademark long duration standing burn-out.Then came Rip-soul with his stoppies in different positions,Azyt & Punk_Rider doing the burn-out and some of the KTM Trooperz doing the wheelies, stoppies and burn-outs.Soaltee United Riders too had a awesome stunter in their bunch and this CBZ guy showed various types of stunts.Wheelies,Burn-Outs and Stoopies were the similar and most common stunts displayed.Rider DIG's Side Skitching & Suicide Burn-Out, Ale's high-speed drift, Smookie's rolling burn-out & Soaltee United Rider's CBZ guy's Chainsaw were
the only stunts performed by a single stunter. In short, every stunt was worth it.At this rate maybe someday we can even organize an official stunt show.Luckily, no casualties and no major accidents during the stunt show and ride.Having done with the stunt show,it was already 12:00 pm in our watches and we headed off to Guheswori to join a Honda CBR 600cc waiting for us.Since getting a lunch ready at a nearby restaurant would eat up time, we decided to end the ride going through Durbar Marg and concluding at Tri Chandra Campus.I was getting late and had to make up for a family gathering, so unfortunately left the unforgettable biking event from the campus with my boyz from Tri-Chandra Campus.Don't know if anything else happened at the concluding gathering at Tri-Chandra Campus, but do feel maybe I missed out something for sure.As far as I have heard, another small stunt session took place at the basketball court in Tri-Chandra.Kevin went around performing his trademark burn-outs again in about three other bikes and the guyz from KTM Trooperz showcased cool stoppies and burn-outs.Anyways I was at least a part of 90% of the event and feel sorry for those who missed all 100% of the event.
This is another memorable biking event under the process of getting burned in my brain forever and I am sure many more events better than this to come from merobike.com....the only online active biking portal in Nepal. With events like these I am at least happy my biking story is not just about the normal from home to college and back, bike riding. There's something more worth cherishing. So guyz who showed up, just remember that your presence made a difference and for at least a day you rocked the streets of Kathmandu !!!!!!!!!!!!
